Chapter 21 Reconnect to Authentic Self to Heal Physical Exhaustion
M couldn’t get a good nights sleep, she had chronic fatigue and a lack of motivation. She went to bed exhausted but couldn’t stay asleep, waking up often from vivid dreams and then not being able to return to sleep. When she became almost psychotic from lack of sleep, M reached out to a physician who prescribed medications for her thyroid. The side effects made the condition worse and that was when she called me to ask the River for help.
As I have stated before, holistic health is a superior method to treat illnesses. I envision the day when patients sit in a circle with several practitioners of different specialties and the case is discussed, diagnosed, and treatments suggested from a variety of perspectives. Let’s imagine a therapy case study with a physician, physio therapist, pharmacist, psychotherapist and spiritual counselor. This method
leads to the primary cause and therefore is the path towards holistic healing,
not just addressing symptoms, with all the attendant side effects of
symptomatic treatment of illnesses. Of course, there are times, especially for end-of-life
patients, when symptomatic treatment of pain and discomfort are appropriate.
However, the contemporary emphasis on Cartesian style diagnosis is often
missing the root causes. In M’s case, her unwillingness to begin the next step
in her journey led to her insomnia and a deterioration of her overall mental
health.
As in
previous chapters, I have left the channeling from the River (a fellowship of
beings channeled over a period of thirty years) in their origin language and candance
to portray an appreciation of their voice.
Julia: I have a question about M and I wonder if you could
give us some advice.
River: We most certainly can, it is a simple matter to deal
with her thyroid. Any misuse of energy, physical or mental, or the inner
channels of the body, causes a disruption of the thyroid. It is a matter then
of adjusting the thyroid to an equilibrium that can be used throughout the day
and night.
In her case, we added
the night, for it is during her sleep time that she is not using her energy
well. For many sentient beings, the use of energy during the nighttime sleep
causes instead of resolution of past and future, intent and memory, causes an
intensity of the use of energy and increase of blockages and increase up
sensitivity.
For this being we suggest an awareness of dream states.
During the dream states which she has been experiencing, she has increased the
tension within her mind, within her body and energy use, so that she is burning
up food resources, cellular resources, too fast. This may be a little obtuse,
but we can offer an analogy.
What she is doing, during the chaos of her dream states, is
using the energy of her cells, her meridians, her chacras more than usual.
Because she has experienced great problems within her daily life, she requires
A balancing within her night life, Anne is not getting this. During her daily
life, she is putting too much energy into a false self, a false public self. We
would suggest to her that she relaxed more not be so much more what others
require her to be.
She has been extremely disconnected with her true self, who
she truly is at this time. Her public self is certainly appropriate in past
times, but she herself is now older, with different needs, and desires, Anne
she is clinging strongly, profusely to a past persona that is not appropriate
now. Because of this her dream time is almost like another being who frolics
and uses up body and mind emotions.
She opens the gate during the nighttime to the person that
she truly is, but this requires a great deal of psychic, physical energy. It is
the thyroid that is suffering. The alarm is of course, that with any erratic
energy use, there is great damage to the nerves, the heart and the electric
impulses within all the muscles within the body.
Because it is not possible at this time for this woman to
work on her spiritual life, she can work on her physical life. The regulator
for this part, for body energy is a point within the skull, beneath the skull,
within the brain, is the great regulator of energy (the hypothalamus) . It is
not working in harmony with all facets of life. Her energy is jumpy, nervous,
sometimes excitable, sometimes it is mellow and too placid. Having this woman
think of this area within the skull as smooth, round and whole, as one complete
whole, would be sufficient at this time to level out, to regulate energy use.

It is not possible
for her to do this at this time, so we suggest that you and she sit together
and do a long-distance healing period visualize this regulator in this way.
At this point the regulator is divided into day and night
activity, both working in disharmony with the other. See it, visualize it as
one circle, relaxed and complete, working as a whole. In whatever way seems
appropriate, this can be done. It is not a matter of diet, it is a matter of
her own journey, her own resistance to her own journey.
Julia: Are you suggesting then that we do long distance
healing?
River: At this point, yes, we do not sense any permission
beyond that.
Visualize the woman, visualize inside of her skull, a whole
and complete regulator, using energy, physical energy, smoothly. It may help to
create an image of your own, for how this may work for the two of you, something
like melting butter, flowing water, light, energy in some way, this ball within
the skull is regulating the body in a smooth even way.
You may sense that it is too hot, or too cold. You have
permission to regulate that also, for during the daytime, it is running
extremely hot and during the night too slow. Are there further questions?
Julia: Thank you for your information. I think that it will
be helpful for many period people.
River: With all emotions and uncomfortableness, now in this
room, with these people, this now, there is no anger. In peace and harmony
there are great deeds For all of us!
Marsha followed the River’s advice and started to remember,
record and take wisdom from her dreams. (For dream analysis See The River

inspirational material and reflecting on a new career path. Her sleep returned
to normal patterns, she let go of unrealistic expectations about herself and
work, embarked on deep self reflection, and reduced her workload so she could
develop a home business that was much more in accord with her authentic self.
